Vinyl Mini Blinds

White vinyl mini blinds, while easy to find and the most common color choice, may still let some light in (albeit shaded) even when fully shut, depending on the quality of vinyl. This usually isn't a problem unless you're a light sleeper as it can make for a bright room regardless of whether the vinyl mini blinds are in the closed or open position. If this matters to you, checking the thickness of the blind slats may help determine how much light they'll keep out. Additionally, it should say "room darkening mini blinds" though to what degree isn't always clear.

As far as adjusting vinyl mini blinds, most of them use a simple, standard pulley system to bring the entire window blind up or down, and then a twistable wand on the opposite side turns the individual blind slats open or closed. You can create many combinations by adjusting either or both of these which means limitless ambiance in every room.
